BWH Hotel Group Italy is constantly paying attention to the evolution of the market with an awareness of its responsibility towards the environment. Since 2010 it has materialised its commitment towards environmental sustainability starting a collaboration with LifeGate, a leading company engaged in all aspects of environmental issues, by joining the project Stay for the Planet.
Our commitment has strengthened over the years through many initiatives and by collaborating with selected players with the objective of operating with greater responsibility and awareness.
Stay for the Planet
Stay for the Planet helps hotels monitor and improve their environmental and social performance by collecting data on energy, water, waste, purchasing, behaviors, and people. The initiative, developed with scientific partner LifeGate, supports the hospitality sector in promoting sustainable practices and integrating sustainability into operational management. In this way, hotels can guide their decisions toward a more responsible and conscious hospitality model.
Certifications
The hotels of the BWH Hotels Italia Group are undertaking a path that will lead them to obtain a sustainability certification, to attest to their commitment to ESG issues.
The certifications are issued by accredited third-party bodies that verify that the required criteria are respected, including Green Key and GSTC.
Stay PlasticLess
The program aims to reduce the presence and use of single-use plastic in all hotels within the network—an effort that directly impacts the amount of plastic waste generated every day.
In collaboration with the purchasing hub SI Supply, the Responsible Supply Chain project (we will add the link to the Responsible Supply Chain page) seeks to raise awareness among hotels on this issue and encourage the purchase of sustainable products

Waste reduction
The elimination of single-use plastics, the constant monitoring of water and energy consumption, the waste management and more awareness in purchases are all actions in support of a sustainable management of a hotel by reducing its waste.
The collaboration with partners such as “Too Good To Go” raises hotels’ awareness also on the subject of food waste, which is responsible for 10% of greenhouse gas emissions.
E-Mobility
BWH Hotel Group supports and promotes sustainable mobility by providing customers who are sensitive to environmental issues and lovers of innovation with power docking stations suitable for all types of cars.
Thanks to this service the group wants to support those who choose electric mobility, encourage sustainable choices, and contribute to improve the environment.
Collaborations with Tesla, Porsche and Free2Move eSolutions further strengthen this commitment on innovation and for a better quality of life.
Sustainable purchases
Particular attention is paid to sustainable purchasing.
Each hotel in the Group is independently owned and managed and makes autonomous decisions about its own purchasing.
With the Hotel Responsible Supply Chain project, SI Supply, in collaboration with BWH Italia, has defined strategic guidelines that put sustainability at the center for responsible management of its activities. Find out more about the project at this link.
Furthermore, since 2012, the SI Supply purchasing center has relied on suppliers who adopt environmental and social policies and who are committed to the ethical treatment of all animals, in line with the Group’s commitment at a global level.
